Dr. Chrystal Rooks, DDS
Dr. Rooks' passion for dentistry began after she graduated from high school. She began her dental career after obtaining a degree as a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA). Dr. Rooks worked as a Certified Dental Assistant and instructor for over ten years. Desiring to further her dental education, she earned a Biology degree with a biomedical emphasis from UNC Pembroke and then completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at Virginia Commonwealth University. Her patients appreciate her gentle touch and motherly nature. She enjoys treating patients of all ages and preforming all aspects of dental treatment. As a General Dentist, she enjoys the challenge of performing all aspects of dental treatment and takes a great deal of continuing education courses each year to stay current with the latest techniques and technologies. She looks forward to serving her patients and the community. She is married to a Columbus County Native and has two beautiful girls.
Dr. Rooks is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the North Carolina Dental Society. She has completed over 200 hours of continuing education in the Gerety Orthodontic Seminars and is a member of the American Orthodontic Society. She loves implant dentistry and holds a Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Dr. Devinn Geeson, DDS
Dr. Geeson loves people. She has spent most of her life serving patients and helping them achieve their personal oral health. She is a graduate of the UNC at Chapel Hill's School of Dentistry, she has extensive experience in every facet of dentistry, having worked as a dental assistant, dental hygienist, and now a dentist. She gained a great deal of continuing education in Implant Dentistry, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, Sedation and Sleep Dentistry. She knows that the health of the teeth is directly related to the health of your entire body and, as a result, focuses her attention on whole health. She believes that as a healthcare professional you should take great interest in your community and serve the needs of all individuals.
Dr. Danielle Gough, DMD
Dr. Danielle Gough is originally from Philadelphia, PA, but has spent the majority of her life in North Carolina. She was first introduced to dentistry in high school. She fell in love with the field, and knew she wanted to pursue a career in dentistry. Dr. Gough attended UNC at Chapel Hill, where she attained her bachelor’s degree. After graduating, she worked as a dental assistant. Dr. Gough attended and obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Gough has a unique and well-rounded dental perspective. She prides herself on putting her patients’ needs first and treating them like family. She values staying up to date in the field of dentistry.
Dr. Tiffany Morgan, DMD
Dr. Morgan was born in raised in Wilmington until her family relocated to Burgaw, NC before high school. She attended North Carolina State University, graduating as valedictorian with degrees in Biology and Psychology. In 2011 she graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Dr. Morgan remained there for 3 years working in private practice under the mentorship of a retired Penn faculty member. She most recently lived in Knoxville, TN before coming home to NC. Dr. Morgan is excited about meeting her new community and helping her patients achieve their best oral and overall health. While her profession is dentistry, her real passion is people & she makes it a goal to get to know you outside of your smile. When she isn’t in the office, she enjoys showing off her hometown to her husband and bull mastiff, Mitch!
Dr. Katie Payne
Dr. Katie grew up in a military family, which finally settled in Wilmington, NC. This is where Dr. Katie considers to be “home.” She obtain her bachelor's degree at UNC – Chapel Hill. She then attended UNC School of Dentistry where she graduated in the top twenty percent of her class and co-founded and co-organized a dental outreach trip in Uganda.
Dr. Katie continued her education at The Ohio State University/Nationwide Children's Hospital where she trained under some of the best pediatric dentists in the country. She was named chief resident and earned her certificate in Pediatric dentistry and her Master of Science degree. Dr. Katie is board eligible, and seeking her board certification with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Katie pursued a career in dentistry knowing that Pediatric dentistry was her calling. Dr. Katie is so happy to have the opportunity to return closer to home and give back to her community. Dr. Katie strives to treat every one of her patient’s like family and we can’t wait for you to meet her!
When Dr. Katie is not at work you might spot her walking her big Golden Doodle puppy, Tucker, or at the beach or pool with her nieces and nephews!
Dr. Katie has always worked with children and families and is very interested in behavior and behavior research. Dr. Katie completed her master's thesis entitled "Can Parents Accurately Predict and Assess Behavior During a First Time Dental Restorative Procedure?" during her time at OSU. This research focused on factors that can help parents and dentists determine whether a child will exhibit positive behavior during dental treatment, and helped to establish parent-provider discussion related to behavior management techniques.
